Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice Strengthen Affiliated Organization with New Hires and Promotions

DETROIT (Feb.16, 2017) – Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice continue to strengthen the affiliated nonprofit organization with the announcement of new and promoted staff. These individuals will help facilitate both hospice agencies’ quality care provided to more than 1,900 patients each day throughout the state of Michigan.

Alison Wagner has been promoted to director of volunteer services and complementary therapies. Wagner began her career with Hospice of Michigan in March 2014 as a volunteer services program regional manager. She is responsible for overseeing 600 statewide volunteers and 19 staff members who provide comfort and peace to patients and their families. Wagner also manages the nonprofit’s complementary therapy programs that include music, massage and pet therapies. These programs provide hospice patients direct interaction with skilled clinicians to bring pain and anxiety relief. Wagner, a resident of Farmington, Michigan, has a Bachelor of Arts in business, a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance with minors in flute and piano all from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in arts administration from New York University.

Joining the affiliated organization as sales representatives are Susan Cujar, of Troy, Michigan, and Kim Little, of Garden City, Michigan. Cujar serves Livingston County. Her last position was with Trinity Health at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Homecare and Hospice, and she has more than 20 years of biotech and pharmaceutical sales and management experience.

Little is responsible for sales and marketing in western Wayne County and Southern Oakland County. Previously with Heartland Hospice, Home Care and Home Infusion, she brings more than nine years of hospice sales experience to the affiliated organization.

Heather Doom, of Willis, Michigan, has been hired as a program assistant for the Hospice of Michigan Institute, Anchors Programs for Children and grief support and volunteer services that serves both organizations. In her new role, Doom will help coordinate new hire orientations and the university online education tools.
